Who I Am
Here are some things I wrote to give you a rough idea of where I’ve been and where (I think) I am going next.
If you want all the facts, head over to /curriculum-vitae instead.
What I Do Everyday
My profession of choice happenstance is Software Development (and UX/UX Design).
I like to say happenstance rather than choice because I was lucky enough to convert my nerdy hobbies into a career without earning a degree in Computer Science or Graphic Design.
How I Got Into Programming
I discovered computer programming while I was in college between 2010 and 2013.
My first No Starch Press book was a print edition of The Linux Command Line by William Shotts. I have been obsessed with Linux (and No Starch Press) ever since.

I became determined to understand Java, C++, and web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
My first "Hello World" was typed while learning how to create mods for Minecraft and websites for my friends.
Minecraft Development Career
In 2017, I started a Minecraft Development YouTube channel, which would unknowingly pave the way for some big opportunities in my programming journey.
It was a wild experience to have a YouTuber with millions of subscribers ask if I would write code for his business, since he enjoyed my
educationalcringe-worthy Minecraft programming tutorials.
In 2019, I accepted a position as Lead Developer & Project Manager for Logdotzip, Inc..
During my time with the company, I worked as liaison between Logdotzip, Inc. and NVIDIA, overseeing the creation of a RTX ON Adventure Map designed to showcase the raytracing abilities of NVIDIA’s latest GPUs.
Code Zealot Studios LLC
I was awarded official partnership status from Microsoft into the Minecraft Partner Program in November of 2020.

I founded Code Zealot Studios LLC and released a few products on the global Minecraft Marketplace, which you can check out on the official Minecraft website.

After having a lot of fun, I decided to leave the game dev world and put my focus back into traditional Software Development and UI/UX Design.
Present Day
- I now have over a decade of experience in Software Development and UI/UX Design.
- Currently employed as Senior Frontend Developer for QRC Technologies, a Parsons Company.
The latest Parsons product I have designed and built the user interface for is BlueFly®
